Morning and Evening Skincare for Every Face

The Meow Meow Tweet Face Line is a complete regimen formulated to protect and nourish delicate skin. We are of the mind that everyone has sensitive skin, and so our products are formulated with a gentle approach. We can’t stop time with skin care. Our approach is to protect and fortify the skin and promote healthy cell regeneration so that your face may pass through time, looking its best.

All of our facial care contains certified organic, nutrient-rich, antioxidant plant oils, hydrosols and essential oils. The raw ingredients are always unrefined, cold pressed and unsynthesized—basically as close to the plant as we can get.

Below are suggestions for facial care morning and night routines based on skin type. Please keep in mind that skin can change seasonally with the weather and with various lifestyle shifts (stress, hormones and diet). We like to say, "listen to your skin" and tweak your regime according to what it tells you it needs. Give our routines a good three weeks to start kicking in. Our mini sizes contain enough product for you to try for this period of time to see if it’s a good fit. Read and follow our use instructions for individual products carefully. We also have how-to videos for many of our facial care items. Proper usage ensures that you’re getting the intended experience and that you’re using less product.

A little tidbit… an essential component of any Ayurvedic facial protocol is a facial massage and we wholeheartedly agree with this feel-good ritual. It increases circulation to your facial tissue, oxygenating the blood and encouraging the presence of fresh, healing red blood cells resulting in brighter looking skin. By relaxing muscles and connective tissue, massaging the face softens expression-induced lines and helps expel acne-causing toxins. As an added benefit, a good facial massage reduces stress. We love a quick little massage with every application of our face oil. Be aware that you might feel or see the blood circulating in the form of warmth or pinkness.

Hint, our facial care with green packaging is formulated for oily, blemish-prone and combo skin types. Our facial care with pink packaging is formulated for dry, mature and reactive skin.

NORMAL

Hey, all skin is normal skin! Oily, dry, and combo are all “normal” skin types. We’re here to make caring for your unique skin easy, and so that you feel like your best self. Use the following regimen that aligns with what your skin is like most of the time.

OILY

Skin appears oily or dewey most days.
30 minutes after washing face, skin feels oily.

People don’t want oily skin, but honestly if I had to choose I would pick this one. Oily skin is slower to wrinkle, has its own built in protection to pollution and is generally not reactive.

Face Cleanser or Tea Tree Charcoal Facial Soap
Geranium Palmarosa Face Toner
Juniper Carrot Seed Face Oil
Matcha Lime Exfoliant Mask

AM:
Rinse face with lukewarm water (10 splashes), massaging in an upward motion, pat dry.

Spray liberally with Toner. While face is still wet, apply Face Oil.

(Notice you don't wash with Cleanser here.)
Follow with Sunscreen and makeup if you wear it.

PM:
Wash with Cleanser, pat dry.
Spray liberally with Toner. While face is still wet apply Face Oil.
Use Exfoliant Mask 2 to 3 times per week.
If you wear makeup we recommend double-cleansing at night. First remove makeup with our Lemon Rose Cleansing Oil. Then, wash your face with our Face Cleanser.

DRY

Skin appears dull most days.
30 minutes after washing face, skin feels dry and tight

If you have dry skin, you want to always carry a little something in your bag for when you’re going in and out of new environments. The enemy of dry skin is changes in climate and air quality. If you can get down with toning and moisturizing throughout the day, you will win at dry skin.

Lemon Rose Cleansing Oil
Chamomile Yarrow Gel Face Toner
Rosehip Chia Face Oil
Skin Cream
Matcha Lime Exfoliant Mask

AM:
If you can avoid washing your face, this is the best! You don’t want to wipe away any of those amazing oils that your skin produced on its own during the night.
Use a washcloth to wipe the crust from your eyes.
Apply Toner and Face Oil.
Follow with Sunscreen and makeup if you wear it.

PM:
Wash with Cleansing Oil. Be sure to check out how to use if you’ve never oil cleansed.
Apply Toner and Face Oil.
During the winter or dry months, apply a small amount of Skin Cream after Face Oil has soaked in a bit. Skin might feel a bit greasy at this point—just put an old towel on your pillow!
Use Exfoliant Mask 2 to 3 times per week.

COMBO

Skin is oily and dry in winter weather and is usually more even in the summer.
30 minutes after washing face, t-zone feels oily.

Combination skin fluctuates depending on the season. It’s two things at once: oily and dry. It’s usually oily on your t-zone and dry and dull on your cheeks and chin. Combo skin can be tough because you’ll really have to listen to your skin throughout the year if you live in a place with seasonal climate changes.

SENSITIVE OR REACTIVE

You typically experience inflammation, irritation or redness from new products.

If your skin is reactive, we highly recommend simplifying and paring down your regimen. And avoiding essential oils and things that activate your blood circulation.

*always patch test before adding a new product if you have reactive skin
