How to Reuse Your Meow Meow Tweet Jars

September 12, 2017

Part of the 5 R's includes reusing. One of the simpler steps, reusing can help you save waste and money. Luckily, our glass jars and bottles are easy to reuse throughout your home. You can even keep the illustrated labels on to add colour and design to your space.

Reusing Your Scrub + Cream Jars

The jars that hold your deodorant, scrubs, and creams are incredibly easy to reuse. They make adorable (and affordable!) plant pots for tiny cacti and succulents. They're great for holding any DIY creations you make, like lip scrubs and bath salts. I also like to use them for organizing bathroom products like hair ties, bobby pins, and q-tips. The options are endless.

Reusing Your Mini Jars

If you've ever bought a sample size of our products, you'll know they come in miniature glass jars. They're the perfect size for holding your personal care products while you're out and about. I use the Face + Body Cream as a hand cream, and the Body Scrub as a lip scrub.

I also love using them for holding products when I travel. Instead of purchasing plastic bottles to refill, I use these tiny jars for almost everything. That way I'm able to take my products with me without lugging giant jars everywhere. You can use them to hold just the right amount of DIY toothpaste (baking soda and peppermint essential oil = heaven), our Liquid Soap, Face + Body Cream, and even our Face Cleanser if you don't want to carry the whole bottle.

Reusing Your Glass + Metal Bottles

I love the look of glass bottles. I think they're simple yet beautiful and they look wonderful in your home. You can reuse the glass bottle that holds our Face Toner to hold small flowers all around your home. You can also mix your own air or linen spray with water and essential oils. Keeping the beautiful bottle in the open will mean you have easier access to the spray without adding an eyesore to your space.

Our Herbal Insect Repellent comes in a metal bottle that's perfect for on the go misting. Once you've used your repellent, you can make your own air spray that won't break if you drop it. I have one in my car that I use everyday to refresh the space during my commute. I'm able to avoid toxic air fresheners and have a fresh commuting space without spending a lot of money.
