Indoor Cat | What Does Certified Organic Mean?

At Meow Meow Tweet, one of the ways we ensure quality ingredients is by using organic materials. These organic ingredients come together in our products to create unique personal care products that are safe for the environment and for you.

WHAT DOES ORGANIC MEAN?

Organic products adhere to specific standards set in place by a governing organization. Generally speaking, organic products (food and personal care products) do not use fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics, or GMOs. This way you can enjoy your food (and skincare routine) without worrying about any kind of toxic chemicals.

WHAT DOES CERTIFIED ORGANIC MEAN?

If an ingredient is certified organic, that means it's been verified by an organization that regulates products and creates standards for organic ingredients.

There are different organizations that vary by country, all with similar regulations. Here at Meow Meow Tweet, our ingredients are certified organic by our suppliers using a USDA Organic Certifying Agency like Oregon Tilth, California Certified Organic Farmers or Northeast Organic Farmers Association, and some of our raw ingredients that are labeled Non-GMO are verified by the Non-GMO Project.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

We don't use harmful ingredients because we want to treat our skin to safe, natural products that don't have dangerous side effects or links to health issues. This is also why we choose to use certified organic ingredients. These ingredients haven't been treated with dangerous pesticides that may be harmful to our bodies.

Using organic personal care products is also important for the environment. If these fertilizers and pesticides aren't good for us, you can bet they're not good for the land, water, or air either. By abstaining from these contaminated products, we're not contributing to their harmful environmental effects.
