Our Mission
To create ethical and natural a personal care products that are not stressful to the earth b do not harm animals c are manufactured and packaged g in a positive work environment and are presented to the consumer at an accessible price point. e
Vegan
We are cruelty free, Leaping Bunny–certified and palm-oil free. We take a whole picture approach to being vegan. Our botanical sourcing practices don’t endanger wildlife and plant ecosystems.
Low Waste
We made the first ever deodorant in a compostable tube! We are constantly innovating to create zero-waste packaging and refill solutions. Our bulk program is a 100% zero-waste, closed-loop system. Use it and spread the word! We make products that are multipurpose so that you can buy fewer of them. Everything is housed in metal, glass, or compostable paper (backyard or muni compost). We only use plastic where essential for hygiene.
For All Bodies
There is no “women’s” or “men’s” in our line. Our products are made for every person, every body, every identity. We practice: all scents, all textures, all products—for all people!
Small Batch
We make our products in small batches by hand in our California microfactory. This enables us to provide the freshest, highest quality products and to contribute to our community by providing jobs’ and skills’ training. We know that every single product goes to a real person, so whether we’re making 100 deodorants or sending our 100th email, every jar and every message counts. Small batch is a craft mindset.
Plants for President
We take a slow food approach to skin care. Our ingredients are certified organic, non-GMO, and from strong or renewable plant populations. We only use raw and unrefined plants oils and butters, steam-distilled and cold-pressed essential oils and house-made extractions. Plants are amazing and we want you to experience them as close to their original form as possible!
Give Back
Every month we redistribute funds to grassroots organizations prioritizing BIPOC and queer communities who share our vision for harm reduction.
