We’ve always loved making candles but, until now, we hadn’t found a way to make them truly zero waste. Enter, The Anything Candle, a zero-waste candle made from our essential oil excess, housed in a reusable ceramic mug covered in Jeff’s drawings.

How We Make It

Every batch of The Anything Candle is crafted based on the essential oils we have left over from a production cycle. These essential oil dribs and drabs are not potent enough to be used in our skin care products, but they’re ideal for candles. Co-founder, Tara, a certified aromatherapist, mixes up a special scent for each batch. That essential oil mix becomes the scent of the candle, and it changes each time we make it.

How It’s Zero-Waste

The Anything Candle not only helps us use up every last drop of essential oils in the studio, it’s also housed in a reusable ceramic mug. Unlike other candles that come in glass, this mug can get folded into your household once the candle has completely burned. Just wash the mug thoroughly with soap and warm water, and use it however you like—to hold toothbrushes, for your morning coffee, or to pot a plant.

Candles & Aromatherapy

In aromatherapy, candles are used to shift the mood in a space. If you’re struggling with a task or feeling emotionally overwhelmed, light a candle and breathe its aroma to return to the present. Candles help us carve out space and ritualize a moment. Simply by lighting one, we signal to ourselves that we’re changing the mood—our mind follows.

Wax & Wick

We always use vegan soy wax, not beeswax, pure essential oils, and a lead-free cotton wick in our candles. To ensure even burning for the life of your candle, melt it to the edges of the jar with each burn. Candles create an open flame, so please don’t leave it unattended.
